Winter is getting too much for me. We’re due for the first snow of the year and my mind is already turning to spring and the changing of the new year.
Here’s the picture with just its first coat of paint without resin. The is textured, created by finger painting. In fact all the painting was done with my fingers. Seriously fun playing with it. The tree is polymer clay which has layers of acrylic paint to enhance the textured feel.
Here the picture has it first coat of resin and the layer of paint over this. As you can see the leaves are waiting to be floated on the resin when it is poured
Here the painting has 2 layers of resin. The hollyhocks are trapped between the two layers. The sheet are so textured that they rise up above the second layer of resin. I’ll put more textured paint around the outside I think to create further depth. The silver is silver leaf… Not really sure why I included it but hey.
